Clarence McWilliam
« on: Wednesday 29 November 17 20:56 GMT (UK) »
All that I know re Clarence is that he was the third husband of Twila Pavey(1923-2017) and that he predeceased her. Previous husbands were Garnet Eden(1921-63) and James Bruce Fowkes (1916-80). I am guessing that he possibly may have lived in the London/ St Thomas area.Nothing shows up on OCFA. Twila is buried with Garnet Eden in Dresden Cemetery and there is no record of Clarence being buried there.
Can someone please have a look for Clarence

Forgot to mention that there is a 1908 Kent Co birth for a John Clarence  but he seems to be a bit too old.

Hi there.

I don't know if this will turn out to be your Clarence but....

The voters list has a Clarence McWilliam Farmer and a Beulah McWilliam at RR3 Bothwell Ontario in 1974. This would be before the death of Twila's second hubby. There is no 'S' on McWilliam here.

Then I found this....hope the link will work.

So it looks like Beulah died the same year as James Fowkes.

Doesn't help find Clarence's resting place but may be a baby step in the right direction? And there is an 'S' on the last name but how many combos of a Clarence and a Beulah might be found together?

Anyway, food for thought.

Thanks PB. I have a contact for McLean Cemetery so should be able to find out if Clarence is buried there.

I think this is the Clarence in the McLean cemetery. Looks like he might be the James (not John?) Clarence born in Kent in 1908. Note apostrophe 'S' on this stone.

1945 voters list has a Clarence McWilliam Farmer and Mrs Clarence McWilliam (no S) in RR3 Bothwell as well. There is a Mrs James McWilliam Widow also at RR3 Bothwell....possibly Clarence's mother.

Looks like Twila would have been his 3rd wife if he turns out to be the correct Clarence.

My contact for McLean Cemetery turned out to be a cousin of Beulah. He confirmed that James Clarence McWilliam's was the husband of Twila. James Clarence died 26 Jul 1993 at Four County Hospital in Newbury and was buried 28 Jul 1993 McLean Cemetery. Local spelling is McWilliam's but has varied within the family.

Thanks PB. Much appreciated
