Mr C.W.Brooker of Strood?
« on: Thursday 30 November 17 13:50 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for a relation of Charles William Brooker, bJuly 6th 1880 & d March 1968.  His last known address, just before his death was Gordon Road, Strood.

He came from Ashford, where his wife, Florence Ellen Brooker nee Brunger died in 1913. He gave his occupation as Motor Driver and widowed in the 1939 register.

Hit a research brick wall, glad for some help please.

Thank you

Have you used the new GRO Birth Index to look for possible children of the couple?

A quick search shows a Florence Eva Brooker (mother Brunger) born in 1907 in West Ashford registration district.

You could research Florence or any other children.

I have found William 1883 and Thomas 1887. Again I have been this route, I get to 1911 then they disappear.

Thx

Have you check CWGC for WW1 deaths or emigration records?

Hi,

Not sure if you have access to Facebook, but there is a very active group there for Ashford https://www.facebook.com/groups/ashfordkentrememberingthewayitoncewas/ and you may well find someone who remembers the family.
