JJen,

You have forgotten the year - it is 1862 at Farnham.

It seems my search continues for Sarah Ann's birth/baptism since she did marry George Nicholas CRISP (my mother's maiden name) on 29 June 1890 at St James, Bath. The recently purchased marriage certificate confirmed Charles (occupation painter) is her father.

The other Sarah Ann may still prove to be an ancestor.

Have you not considered the birth in 1862 (MMN Kerwin) that I previoulsy posted? I would be tempted to purchase that birth cert to ensure it's the correct Sarah Ann.

I was digesting your very kind/prompt information by responding to each one separately.

Charles had a son Charles W., age 17 (ie born about 1864) in Chiseldon according to the 1881 census.

My Sarah Ann could well have been born 1862 in Farnham since that is very close to Aldershot where Charles was stationed with the army about that time.

Both sightings make their mother's maiden very likely to be that of KERWIN.

Many thanks.

JJ - please let me know what your source is that reveals the mother's maiden name of KERWIN for the births of Charles William and Sarah Ann?

Wonder if Emma Jane and Albert Edward died at the same time.
