Dorothy Marsh Bolsover

Looking for Dorothy Marsh who married Obediah Oldfield of Old Brampton Chesterfield 18/12/1825 at Chesterfield Parish Church(Crooked Spire)Think she was the daughter of William Marsh and Reb ?Marsh maybe of Bolsover. Her bapt could be 15/08/1803 in Bolsover. Anybody got any info on this Marsh family. Know there are quite a few in Scarcliffe but don't know if it is the same family. Any help would be appreciated. I live in Chesterfield and have connections to Scarcliffe .

Have you checked the  wills for William Marsh to see if she is mentioned?
I see there are a couple in the mid 1800s for 'William Marsh' in Chesterfield - on findmypast under Lichfield Wills (Lichfield covered Derbyshire too).

Dorothy is pretty consistent with noting her pob as Chesterfield.

The only Couple Baptising there in that time frame were WILLIAM/CHARLOTTE Marsh;

I see the Baptism you refer too but she seems to be the only Child to WILLIAM/REB (Rebecca?)

John Kirk Marsh married 1 Feb 1831 Chesterfield, he was a Clerk of Knaresborough.

The Marriage of William/Charlotte may have been 5 November 1804, Rotherham, Yorkshire

I wonder if this is the other Marriage;
