How to tell where a person is buried in Qld

Hi,
I have the registration number for a death in Queensland, C3072 James EVANS. Is there any way to find out the cemetery this refers to, please? It's such a common name that it would be beyond me to buy all the certificates to pick him out.

You've only given half the registration number.  There should be a year as well.  C indicates a country registration.

Yes, Cando, she was Ellen also b.1870. They had several children but not sure how many of them came to Australia as a lengthy search of shipping records hasn't turned them up. They were still living in Wales on 1911 census

You can work out the exact date of death by gradually narrowing down the dates in the indexes.  His date of death was 4 Aug 1949 so that burial in Chinchilla is probably correct.

Yes, thanks Debra, that's what I thought. Unfortunately, none of the other Evans in the same cemetery appear to be related to that James - or MY James at least.
