I'm looking at freebmd and it looks like this:

Marriages Dec 1861   (>99%)
BELCHER    Caroline        Cheltenham    6a   787
Ford    Ellen        Cheltenham    6a   787
Kent    William John        Cheltenham    6a   787
WEBB    Henry        Cheltenham    6a   787

so NOT same page number as george bees, in Bristol on p78

the final 7 is faint on the image, but it *is* there

KENT, ROSETTA       BELCHER  1862  J Quarter in CHELTENHAM  Volume 06A  Page 414
KENT, ROSETTA       Death aged 1     1863  J Quarter in CHELTENHAM  Volume 06A  Page 283
cant find any other kids to match

This sums it up!  :D :D :D :D

So are we now saying that George Beese definitely did not marry Caroline Belcher but married Caroline Gunter? So all the Beese/Gunter children are theirs.

That would make more sense Pauline.
Although it still looks like pg 78 to me not 787. There is a long 7 hanging down from above which could be obscuring the final 7 , there is a very, very faint mark below it.
