The words are clear enough.  He gives:  ...my Caroon No: 83...

Quite what that means is a different matter.

Here is a thought for what it is worth ::)

The word I think may be intended to be Cartoon, but the middle T has been left ot.

The word is most usually used these days in the sense of a humourous drawing of some sort, or animated movie.
However in fine art lingo......

Cambridge Dictionary
.....a drawing made especially in preparation for a painting.....

The number following the word in the will may be the number of the cartoon drawn by the commissioned artist.

One sees cartoons for masterpieces in galleries quite often.

The preliminary or rough drawing preceding the actual painting.

It's always nice to hear of a new word  :)

It seems that Christs Hospital made a tidy sum of money from this. http://www.rootschat.com/links/01l51/ (click on the page number for the full text, and the next page down refers to the caroons)

Thank you all for your suggestions I agree I had read it as Caroon No 83 but had no idea what a Caroon was and nothing came up on a Google search, Thank you Stan for your reply, possibly then a Licence for a cart belonging to Christ Hospital. Just seen your post JenB the link explains it all well, worth a look even if you don't need a Caroon. Much appreciated
