But even if his death were in a hospital , if it were in England or Wales, it would be in the gro index.

I received the wills I applied for on 14 February.

Letters of administration were granted to Arthur regarding Eleanor as she died intestate.  She died on 4 January 1987.

Arthur left a will and it confirmed that he died on 15 December 1987.

His will also confirmed the children's names (two are still living) and two grandsons and that Arthur and Eleanor lived at 16 Parkway, Steeton.

Eleanor died at Airedale hospital according to her death certificate.

I do not yet know where Arthur died but I have managed to find his daughter on Facebook and we are corresponding.  I will ask her if I can have a copy of Arthur's death certificate as she is sure to have one.

I am going to look to see if Arthur's name was spelled wrongly as this might explain why no death certificate could be found.

The GRO and/or the local register office would still have been able to find him even though his surname was spelled Bolton rather than than Boulton.

Another of my branches is called Moreton and I have loads of records with the spelling Morton who I know are my family.

Hi

I think you have a different Arthur Boulton in your tree.

My 2x great uncle died in 1987 Keighley, West Yorkshire.  I have his death certificate.

Hi, I've read your other threads on Arthur Boulton and unless it's a massive coincidence it's the same person. Eleanor Shaw was my gran. They had 3 kids, John, Anne and Nancy. Nancy being my mother, John (my uncle) and Anne (Aunt) died about 5 years ago

And I've been to their house on Parkway loads when I was a kid.

Arthur died visiting Anne's family who lived in Adelaide.

All your info matches mine.

Let me have a look back at the certificate to see if there's a place of death on it.

Back in a mo.

I need to sort and look through all my certificates as I cannot find Arthur's death certificate.  I am sure I got it as I have one for Nellie his wife.

Will get back to you.
