Fieldfare Family
« on: Tuesday 05 December 17 19:33 GMT (UK) »
Hi
Been stuck for awhile and cant seem to find any birth/bapt for my 8th grt grandmother Susan Fieldfare. She married William Nethercote/Nethercoat 22 Jan 1760 Lackford, Suffolk by license.
Susans age is given as 23 and birthdate as 1737.
I've found no other records for the Fieldfare name in general in Cambs/Suffolk/Norfolk, only other record I can see is a marriage for a Elizabeth Fieldfare 22 May 1768 Tuddenham, Suffolk.
Elizabeth's parish is listed as Icklingham, Suffolk.
Given that Tuddenham isn't far from Lackford I assume my Susan and Elizabeth are sisters?
Any help would be appreciated.

FamilySearch has a possible perhaps?
Susan Folford, bap 12 December1736, at Icklingham
Parents James + Susan
(England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975)

The name also appears as Felford in Icklingham on FS.

Jon thank you very much for this, I've also found the bapt for Elizabeth confirming that they were sisters. Susan is my mothers direct maternal ancestor going back mother to daughter so I was eager to find her. Thank you once again
