Working backwards the last census Charles was born Kent,

1901 census Charles Goles s/b Coles born Hilldenborough Kent age 26 with daughter Mabel Irene age 4 at 41 Crampton? Road Penge Kent
1901 Amy Cales s/b Coles  age 24 is a patient at Guys Hospital St Saviour Southwark

1891 census Charles Cole age 16 is a boarder with Joseph Hudson and family  both are ag lab.

1892 Records of Service Chelsea Pensioners, Charles Cole born Hilldenborough Kent age 18, regimental number 124, 3rd Hussars.
On fold 3 ancestry, I only have world wide so I cannot see image, perhaps someone with access can tell us if it's the same person if it has person to notify he may have given more information.

There is a birth registered Tunbridge Wells 1875 for a Charles Cole mothers maiden name Collins, that could be your man.

ADDED also one in Malling 1875 as Charles Alfred Cole mmn Martin

I don't have access to Fold 3, but it appears to have the same service record as FindMyPast

This shows that Charles Cole was deemed unfit to be a soldier.  Unfortunately, it doesn't include the next of kin.

clancam37,
Which censuses have you found them in before marriage, and when and where do you think they died for confirmation of their birth years?

Think Amy's father was Henry Burton (with her Mother as Amy in 1881 census)  but her step-father was Charles Wilmshurst as in 1891 census.

Added:
Or were you aware of this as just realised you only asked for parents of groom, even though you quoted incorrect information (I believe) for Amy?
