George brown cooper baptised Peldon, Essex, 30 may 1824 (although gives 25 as birth year on censuses). Son of George and harriet. At GBC’s baptism, his father is a miller.
GBC was one of six girls and five boys born to George and Harriet between 1821 and 1836 in peldon.

George and Harriet’s marriage, I cannot find. The census says that she was born in layer Breton but I can’t f8nd a marriage anywhere there or in the surrounding parishes.
However, found George’s baptism in Tolleshunt D’Arcy (as per census ) to Thomas and Elizabeth cooper (nee Percival). Both single. They married in Tolleshunt D’Arcy 23/7/1793. Witnesses: Phillip Cooper and Edward Percival. All four signed their names.

Thomas cooper (the one who married Elizabeth Percival) was born in Goldhanger to John and Hannah (nee Harrington). John and Hannah married in Goldhanger 8/5/1758. Both signed. He was a widower. Was married to Perry or Pary (definitely a P) who died and was buried 15/10/1756 Goldhanger. Hannah H was single.
