Dad and "his Mosquito" June 1944
« on: Wednesday 06 December 17 18:36 GMT (UK) »
Dear all,
I wonder if some kind person would have a go at giving this photo a bit of a sharpen and some colour please? It is of my Dad on the left and his navigator Charlie Mapes standing in front of "their" Mosquito " U" for "Uncle" at RAF Oakington in June 1944.
I am hoping to give my great nephew an Airfix kit of a Mosquito for his Christmas present and thought it would be nice to add a copy of the photo for him to see the plane his Great Grandfather flew.
Unfortunately the photo is very small, only 2" or so but I have scanned it at 600dpi so maybe someone can do something with it :-\
Thank you in advance to anyone who has a go
Jackie :)

Here are a couple from me. This is particularly of interest to me as my father in law worked on parts for the Mosquito airplane during WW2 at the Waring & Gillows factory in Lancaster.

Thank you both Pablo and Pat.
Gosh that's amazing Pat, I didn't realise that Waring and Gillows were involved in the manufacture of the Mosquito. You learn something new every day dont you?
Thanks very much all of you  :D :D :D :D
