So the 2 births I found before with mothers name Sullivan?

Will have a look for the other 2 you mention.

But it would help to know who Mary married after Michael died and where your great grandfather is in 1901 - you said he was with his mother and her new husband?  Under what surname are they?

Sorry for all the questions but needs must!

Hi

I had a further look I'm the 1901 census
Because Jeremiah was one of Michael's children also

1901 census

In dowlais Merthyr

Living at 67 ( can't read the next word ) lower high street

Upper Merthyr Tydfil

John Sullivan( ???? What relation )
30 a ( not able to read the first bit )rails puddle born Blackpool Ireland ??

Margaret Sullivan ( wife ) 20 born dowlais Merthyr

Johney Sullivan 15 nephew general labourer born dowlais Glamorgan

Norah Sullivan 10 niece scholar born dowlais Glamorgan

Jeremiah Sullivan 8 nephew scholar born dowlais Glamorgan

I am sure this is my g x 2 grandfather  and my cousins g grandfather ( john Sullivan born about 1886 also known as William )

Hope this helps

If the Mother's maiden name is also Sullivan to
John
Norah
And
Jeremiah

Is it possible Michael's wife Mary born about 1864 in cork

Used her married name Sullivan as her maiden name

Or

Was married before she married Michael ??

Quite a saga this

Best regards Phil

Hi

I found a marriage December 1885 in Merthyr Tydfil

Michael Sullivan to Mary Sullivan

This could be the correct one as john was born about 1886

Need to find who were Mary's parents
Or whether she married before she married Michael

Regards Phil

Yes I mentioned that marriage earlier.

As I understand it the mothers maiden name on the births of any children (with however many husbands) will be the same so Mary started life as Sullivan.

I'm afraid you would need the marriage certificate to confirm it's the correct Michael and if so it will show the name of her father also.
