Richard remarried in 1850 to Eliza Hirst? He also outlived her as he is on the 1891 census with duaghters Minnie Eliza age 35, single and Ellen Louisa age 25 single.

Do you have the later censuses?

Hi Annie, JAS 1848 would refer to a registration in July August September (3rd quarter) 1848  :)
Robbins - Wolverhampton.
Spooner - Monmouthshire & Wolverhampton.
Warner & Loundes - Dudley/West Bromwich.

 ::)  ::) Thanks Jool...

Funny how when we refer to things differently, seeing the same thing in a different format throws one off easily especially when tired as I have just discovered  :-[

I would normally use Sep Qtr or 3rd Qtr

Thank you very much for that information. Merry Christmas from a very warm and dry NZ! Drought in several areas... sigh!
