Hello trying to track down the above he is mentioned on Yaxley Roll in the cemetary, his service no is 1581????he was a private in the 10th batt lincs husband of Helen Suter, of eastfield grove moreton gainsborough, please can you give details of his marriage,????and if the couple had siblings.thankyou Margaret.

Herbert 15 bricklayers labourer Spaldwick

10 years earlier also in Yaxley there are more children -Rose 13 and Walter 12

By 1913 he is a platelayer on the GNER at Lincoln  and has joined the Union.

Helen is more difficult but at a guess she is the daughter of Wells and Alice Jenkinson of Gainsbourough engine driver born 1889.

William Suter, 32, a baker of Yaxley, married Sarah Fenton, 35, in Old Hunstanton on 3rd October 1876.

Parents - William Suter, labourer, and James Fenton, gardener.
Witnesses - John Fenton and Rose Mary Fenton.

I forgot to include the year of William Fenton's marriage, which I have now added - 1876.

Sarah Fenton was baptised in Old Hunstatnton on 8th November 1840. Her parents were James Fenton and Mahala Jarvis, who married in Old Hunstanton on 25th December 1837. Their fathers were John Fenton, labourer, and Samuel Jarvis, carpenter. The witnesses were John and Rebecca Cooper.
