Crooks Crossing Rothbury
« on: Saturday 09 December 17 07:21 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I'm trying to find if the house referred to as "Crook Crossings", Lee Ward, Rothbury in the 1881 census still exists.  I understand that Lee Ward is the hamlet The Lee, but can't find any house names.  Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Catherine

Thanks Kay99, It makes perfect sense as he was working on the railways and the "crossing" is over the railway and not a stream as I expected !! It does look interesting on goole maps - my sister is going to be in the area next week just to look and try and so some research, definitely sending her to the house!!!
Much appreciated
