Strange - 1921 census says born England 1873 - he immigrated in 1876 -  ??? Should mean other family perhaps  ???

The marriage is on the Drouin Collection. On A*try=easier to look for MERTES marriages 1893.

No help at all but he does sign.

I'm wondering about William CROSS and Mary nee COOK and their children. (Newmarket in 1871).

In 1911 David still says born Ontario:

There was a marriage at Whitby England - December 1855 - 9d 785 - William Cross and Mary Cook  ??? Marriage cert may tell you more.
