Have you got the month David Cross passed away in 1953 ?  Our obituary expert Run Kitty might find something in Toronto papers that tells us where he came from  ???  Having the month helps when your wading thru newspapers.

Hi,

A date would be better.. I have been looking, but I can't find an obit for him using his name/variations.  I found a couple of obits for some others in the family, but not for him.

I don't see his dates on his wife's tombstone (Sandra posted a link to a photo earlier in the thread).

Like Carole W said earlier... I don't see a birth for him on the GRO index - using either David Noah, or Noah David (sometimes people swap their names around).

1901, he says he was born in Ontario!!

(David and William are on the next page)

Puzzling fellow!!

You say he was married in Quebec.  Do you have the marriage record?  Does it mention his parents names or where he came from??  (CaroleW asked about this earlier too...she also wondered whether you had a death cert that might mention his parents' names... if you had this information, it would be really helpful :)_
