The text in question is shown in the Wye (Kent) church registers in the margin at right angles to the main body lists of burials as if it had been forgotten or added later. The text which precedes the entry is what puzzles me...

I think there are two entries.  The first is:

Stephen White a poor man who dyd in the wood

ADDED:

I think the curly divider is intended to show that both burials were on March 22.
