Hi Claire

Very interesting, the family Trees on Ancestry all show John born 1760 Great Shelford in 1760, but no sources. I think as you said there must be more than 1 William Ansell and the fact that you found the marriage to Ann King was  interestng, did you find a burials for Ann Ansell, prior to the remarriage

Kind Regards

David :D

Right, this is how it must be, or I'm losing the plot.

William junior (son of William and Ann nee Kitson) married ANN KING June 1750.

There is also a burial in Stapleford 19 Jan 1750 of an ANN ANSELL

- This is possibly the mother Ann Kitson.

The marriage in 1753 could be a late marriage for the father - that is why there are no children baptised to the couple William & Hellene.

Hi Claire

That makes total sense. Thanks for opening my eyes, now I think I need to see if there is a will for William Junior to see if I can clarify the situation.

Kind Regards

David
