John William Stark WW1
« on: Sunday 10 December 17 21:52 GMT (UK) »
First of all I hope I am on the right thread
A B Seaman John William Stark was born at Spittal Berwick upon Tweed  1896
son of Mr and Mrs Robert Stark
John was in three ships that I know of HMS Irresistible the Goliath and HMS Cornwallis during WW1
I have this information from one of my Stark relatives this was given to her by a friend
she's not sure if this was got from Findmypast
As I am not in this family search site I wonder if some one can help here there is a photo of John Stark in one of the articles about him the date issued is 1917 .We think this photo may have been our local Berwick Advertiser or Journal
can anyone help please

I have Googled the ships and taken copies of them

In the article it say's
It was stated the Cornwallis was struck at in the stock hold. She floated some 2 hours enabling  all aboard to be saved ..The 113 men missing perished in the explosion
