In Memoriam 1917
« on: Monday 11 December 17 17:21 GMT (UK) »
This seems perhaps the most suitable pigeon hole although paper and not stone is involved.
An In Memoriam announcement in a newspaper concludes with
" Fideli ceria merces".
Two translations I have found  seem entirely unlikely. Are these latin words incorrect perhaps?
Thanks, T.

I think the middle word should be ‘certa’.
Then the phrase would translate as ‘to the faithful there is a sure/certain reward’.
