Elizabeth Evans
« on: Tuesday 12 December 17 16:05 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I am hoping that someone can find a baptism for me of an Elizabeth Evans born circa of 1820/1821

Her father John Evans was serving with the 55th foot regiment in Kilmainham.  He was in the hospital there and discharged in 1821.  Her mother was named Isabella.

On the 1841 census Elizabeth now Forshaw said she was born in Ireland.

Any help would be appreciated

Eileen :-\

Thanks for the website.  Could you advise if a child was born to a British soldier would they have their own registration in Ireland.

As elizabeths birth was prior to Civil Reg in Ireland in 1864 you will have to rely on Church records.
As there were several military barracks all over Ireland I have seen records with Soldiers details recorded on them i.e Barracks.
Thanks for the website.  Could you advise if a child was born to a British soldier would they have their own registration in Ireland.
