Robert Roberts of Rhostryfan

Robert Roberts was born in Rhostryfan in 1874, but moved south at some time. He married Mary Jane Francis in 1901 and they lived in Rhondda. There are probably three Robert Roberts's born in Llanwnda parish, where Rhostryfan is located, in 1874. How can I tell whether his father is Hugh, Griffith or someone else??

   keyboard86   I tried the Pontypridd registration district's site, but it claimed they had no record. According to Free BMDs the marriage took place in the third quarter of 1901 in the Pontypridd District, which has been unchanged since 1894.  Andrew Wilson
