In 1901 Mary Jane was working for the Burnett family of Sloane Gardens, Chelsea as a lady's Maid. I wonder if it is possible to tell me something about the Burnett's, perhaps their full name and address and occupation. It might give a clue as to why she travelled to London from Somerset.

You would need to verify but I think this might be Mary E Burnett and daughter Ethel on 1881 census which was taken night of 2nd April 1881 from bpt. son Alex born 26 April 1881
