Welcome to rootschat, murdo67.

Do you know where it was - on this map, or on the other side?

If it was on the Irvine Road, would it have been within Kilmaurs, or completely separate, as the Irvine road does not go to Kilmaurs?

It gets quite confusing as well as towns/villages being called one name (KIlmaurs for example) the same name is applied to the much larger area of Kilmaurs Parish council. The same applies to Kilmarnock.

Any one have any info or photos of this small mining village, or can direct me to a good place to look. Thanks.
