Methodists' Records
« on: Wednesday 13 December 17 20:46 GMT (UK) »
Hello,
Does anyone know if any records exist of the Primitive Methodist church in Higher Ardwick, Manchester? I am particularly interested in church weekly or monthly magazines of the early 1930s.
                   Many Thanks

In 1932 the Primitive Methodists joined with the Wesleyans and United Methodists to form the Methodist Church.
The University of Manchester Library has a Methodist Archive Collection

Try www.engleseabrook-museum.org.uk.
This is the website for the Primitive Methodist Church

There's nothing wrong with being mediocre...as long as you're good at it!

Hi
I am interested in the Ballast Hills Primitive Methodist Church's records for the years 1808 Elizabeth Coatsworth buried 5 Jan 1808 parish Ballast Hills non conformist and place as Ballast Hills Primitive Methodist, also for 1826 John Coatsworth buried 4 May at Ballast Hills Cemetery, no parish or denomination listed. I am seeking additional information about the family to confirm John's age and family members if possible. I have looked at a website called eaglesea that was mentioned in another post on rootschat but it was a website for software.

As far as I can see the only records relating to Ballast Hills Primitive Methodists are held at Tyne and Wear Archives, and only relate to baptisms during the period 1843 - 1896.
