Would that mean I have the wrong parents for Maurice? As that Maurice who died is linked to the 1877 birth.

Looking again, I can only find one birth certificate now. Maybe it is 1912 that he died.

Would you say the birth certificate and marriage certificate attached previously say Jess Morgan?

MORGAN, JESS        BARNES      Order
GRO Reference: 1872  D Quarter in UXBRIDGE UNION  Volume 03A  Page 33

and death in 1920 which is fine asthe other siblings of Llewellyn born after 1912 all stop at 1920 so could be Jess too, but that would probably require birth certificates each ordered?

I've just seen the birth certificate says occupation of father as house painter.

Jess Morgan is listed on 1911 census as a house painter.

Mystery solved I believe. Thank you everyone.

I think I just found a marriage.

England & Wales, Civil Registration Marriage Index, 1916-2005

Name:    Jess Morgan
Spouse:    Alice E Mergan
Marriage:    Jun 1917 - Brentford, Middlesex
Other:    QFeb-Apr-May-Jun 1917

Edit: FreeBDM has it listed as the correct name of Morgan.

Thank you.

Since Jess Morgan according to GRO says mothers maiden name Barnes. Same mother maiden name as Maurice Morgan then I do have the rest of the ancestry correct. I just had the wrong brother / marriage as the father.

I will order Jess Morgan birth certificate so that I have his birth date for my records. Unless this can be looked up from other sources? (I cannot see any online from my subscriptions)

If he died after mid 1969 then his date of birth will be on the indexes.

Of course if you can find his baptism then if the vicar has been very kind the DOB may be in the records too.

And if he's around on the 1939 register then the DOB will be in that too.

I did find a death in 1920 so I will need to order the birth certificate to get the date as I cannot find a baptism.
