Germany, Black Forest - Olga Fechtig
« on: Thursday 14 December 17 23:25 GMT (UK) »
My grandmother, Olga Fechtig, was born 1 Dec 1894 in Frieburg, Black Forest, Germany.  I have her birth certificate that shows she was the illegitimate child of Rosa Fechtig.  No father was indicated.  Wondering how I can obtain that info, as well as how to further develop her family tree.  All suggestions welcome.   :)

Hi Terry

there is a tree on https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Fechtig-1 which has Olga, born 1.12.1894 in Freiburg dd. 1946. She is the daughter of Jacob Fechtig and Carolina Hinn. She is married to Johann Betz.

If Olga was catholic you can go to a Mormon History Center and look at the Church books of Freiburg.

Regards Peonie
