There is a death record which would match Richard Istance born 1838 - passed away 22 May 1914 - aged 76 years Newport - 11 a 286

Probate 20 June 1914 - Richard istance of The Laurels Risca died 22 May 1914 - probate London 22 June 1914 to Annie Istance (widow)  Effects £102 3s.

There is a death record  - Llanelly - Q3 1852 - 11 a 272 - which could be John Istance.
