Hello ,
Would any kind person who has access to newspapers be able to help me please ?
Just came across a record....for Stonehaven Journal..printed 20th Feb 1868.
it concerns at Aberdeen Sherriff Court ,the case was about Robert Jaffray (painter)
& James Taylor (quarrier) cove, pleaded guilty to assault on the saturday night .

The remainder of the item reads:
…. assault committed on Saturday night on the person of Alexander Thomson, grocer, Wellington Road, while in his own shop; also of conducting themselves in a lawless and disorderly manner. They were each fined the sum of 20s, or, in default, 10 days’ imprisonment.
