Trishanne - we got a new computer for Christmas and some how your post was lost in the tsf. of e-mails from old to new.  For that I apologise in not sending a thank you out.  Your assistance in helping to restore my very, very sad couple of pictures, was most appreciated.  My relatives have had a real journey on this site, and each time the results have been amazing!  Thank you so much for your time and expertise.  Marianne

Paula - you are right, it seems the Collie mix of dogs, seemed to run in the family.  Thank you for bringing his picture clearer to see.  I myself had a Heinz 57 dog that I got when I was 13.  I loved that dog more than anything.  Marianne

Gerry was sold to my Mother as an Irish water Spaniel ... um yes ...
+ what else we always wondered.
He was mightily protective of Mother and family thought he would resent me when I was born, but that woman knew how to handle animals. She gave me to him when I was fresh born and told him, 'Guard.'
He did, all his dear life.
