The image for Joseph and Harriet's marriage is available on FindMyPast.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

There is an earlier marriage - 15 May 1844 - Old Leake
Joseph Brocklesby, 24, bachelor, Labourer of Leake.  Father:  Thomas, Labourer
Eliza Reeson, 24, spinster of Leake.  Father:  David, Labourer
A witness is Betsy Maria Brocklesby.

Re Mary Motley, she was baptised on 20th January 1824 in Wrangle, daughter of Joseph and Mary, nee Wright. She is also Motley, daughter of Joseph, on her marriage to William.

I have seen errors on marriage register or certificates where the father was inadvertently given the same name as the groom. If Joseph registered the marriage in person, the certificate might be different from the register.

You don't register a marriage.  A registrar attends (possibly in his guise as a C of E vicar), also signing the register.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.
