I have difficulty reading both of the occupations of Thomas Robson and William Armstrong

I know what I think they are, but I am interested to hear what other think prior to making my suggestion...

William was a quarryman but looks like he died before the 1841 census - see my reply 4

Thank you, yes, quarryman and husbandman is what I also thought

Regarding looking for Margaret Robson baptism I'm confused as to what Parish Birtley would have been in, around 1830?

I've done a search on freereg for Margaret Robson, giving baptism year between 1829-1831 for the whole of Northumberland. The best match is St Michael and All Angels, Newburn, baptised 7 Mar 1830, with a father Thomas Robson, Husbandman

This would mean she was born in Birtley, but baptised in Newburn

Emeltom - I can't find the 1830 Birtley baptism with mother Margaret that suggests she may have been illegitimate. Also, the father is named on the marriage cert and identified as husbandman.

I think this is where I got confused before when I tried to get the right person and pin it down!

Birtley in Northumberland  was a parish in its own right at that time http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/NBL/Birtley
It is some 25 miles from Newburn

and further to the info Emeltom posted, this is the image from the Bishops Transcripts

NB despite the fact that Birtley is not listed in the main Northumberland BTs list, I searched the Family Search Catalogue for Birtley Northumberland and then followed through and clicked the camera icon by the BTs. If you can't immediately see the parish in the main BTs list, this method is always worth a shot.
