Looking for any information on a military home at 21 Chantry? House, Eccleston Street, London. The 1911 census doesn't give any info. but there lots of soldiers and sailors living here.  Many thanks.

Could it be the Duke of Connaught's Soldiers and Sailors Home at 6 Eccleston Street?  (I know it existed during WW1, but I don't know when it was founded)

(UPDATE - a comment on flickr claims that building began in 1901)

Duke of Connaught's Soldiers and Sailors Home was founded in 1890 in Buckingham Palace Road. These premises were acquired in 1901 for an extension to Victoria Station, and the premises at 6 Eccleston Street were then purchased and adapted at a cost of £11,970.In 1905 the foundation stone was laid for a new wing.
It was described in the Army and Navy Gazette - Saturday 14 July 1906 as an attractive and comfortable retreat  provided for soldiers and sailors quartered in or passing through London
