Give more of the image for comparison purposes. A half/quarter page or so

can't see anything tremendously obvious https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_towns_and_villages_in_the_Republic_of_Ireland#P

Perhaps Portdrine? County Clare. Limerick Poor Law Union/Civil Registration District, Kilfantinan Civil Parish-
https://www.townlands.ie/clare/bunratty-lower/kilfintinan/cratloe/portdrine/

I just put in 'Port' for the start of the townland name and it's the closest I could see (also checked 'pon') http://www.thecore.com/seanruad/
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I followed Dundee's hint re Portdrine in 1891 which gave John Donnellan in Blatherwycke, Northants.
1911 index for the same man living in the same place is transcribed as Co. Clara, Portdrive which would seem to support aghadowey’s suggestion here.

Is that your man?

Thanks again everyone ;D  The person I was trying to find was a John Donellany originally spelling Donely born Dunmore Galway Ireland he ended up after 1901 in or around Manchester in a  Hospital classed as a lunatic.
