Hi Em, glad to help when can.

There is a possible 1841 census for Betsey in the Birmingham/Warwickshire area with parents Henry & Elizabeth with a number of siblings. Not sure if this is the correct Betsey.

If you wish to move back further the marriage cert for Betsey/Isaac is needed, to establish her father if listed.

Original BMD certs cost about £9.25, but the GRO are still running their PDF which are £6.00, which have no legal standing as a cert but you gleen the info. Isaac father is Isaac so you would have a standing point to know if correct cert.  Other than that you could pay full price and stipulate you only want the cert if his father is Isaac. If not they will refund your payment. Not sure if this is the same with cheaper PDF version.

See https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ would register index is free to search. Added just reread and it seems the PDF pilot only include births & deaths not marriage.

Would also post on the Canadian board, to see if AE & AECG can be traced to add to your history.

Best Wishes also for a happy Christmas & 2018 to you and yours  :)
