Can anyone help me with finding the birth for George, I believe his mother was Ann but cannot find a father for him.

Yes, there is one in Yeovil but there is also a George born the same year who married a Jane, so I don't think it is the right one, not too sure.

Can't find anything else to validate it.

Do you know who your George married?  A copy of his marriage cert should have his fathers name

Yes it was Emily Northover, on the marriage Banns father is blank!

It may be he didn't know his dad?

The marriage certificate is what's left 'blank' for his father and this usually means he was illegitimate.   Can't find a baptism.

How do you know his mother was Ann?
