Hello,
Looking at Old Maps it looks to be ‘Sunnyside’.

http://pittvillehistory.org.uk/bios/Hyett.html  It was used as a maternity home during WW2 according to this.

Regards
Heywood

Not showing on this one

The building is there but not the name. That is provided it is the one I think it is.  :)
There are planning documents etc online.

Thank you all for your interesting and helpful information. At the moment I’m being influenced by a family member who is convinced it’s not Sunnyside. Trying to keep an open mind, perhaps a resident of Byron Court might know.
New Year Greetings

I was influenced by the planning applications which I mentioned but I haven’t scrutinised them.  :-\

http://www.rootschat.com/links/01l7e

‘Formally (sic) known as Sunnyside’.

However your family member might have better knowledge of the area.

?

There is on Ancestry the Canterbury Will of Thomas BRYON, Gentleman of Cheltenham, dated 18 May 1844 (just reading through, mentions his wife Hannah)

? just looking at the Will of Thomas BARRON  1844 Cheltenham

His address is: Pittville -  difficult to read - talks about a daughter Helen BARRON leaving her 7,000 Calcutta rupees and ? someone living in Pittville  ...  Johnson?  (Will written 1843)

Memorial Inscription

Thomas BARRON Lieut. Col. H.E.I.C.S. buried 25 May 1844, Cheltenham
