Deciphering Place Name SOLVED thank you
« on: Wednesday 27 December 17 18:31 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if someone could help me with this place name in the 1861 census please?
I know it's Warwickshire & the rest of the children were born in Wilnecote.

Thanks
cally

I read it as:

Warwickshire Parks Castle Liberty
Do (ditto)    Wilnecote Tamworth

According to Wiki:
Tamworth Castle liberty is a narrow township, extending about two miles south from the Castle, between Fazeley and Wilnecote townships, and including Park Colliery, Two-Gates, Thistley-Field, a stone quarry, 78 inhabitants, and about 300 acres of land."

Thank you, I couldn't find the place to start with, but I've found mention of it on Genuki. It's close to where the other children were born, so that's most likely the place.

Thanks everyone
