Hello,
Does anyone know what sort of business was carried out by John Lilly & Sons in Minshull Street, Manchester, during the late Victorian period ?
                 Many Thanks

Hi

In the Slaters directory for 1895, John Lilly and sons were SHIPPING MERCHANTS.

There are actually three entries for the family in the directory, the other two were one for John Lilly junior a merchant of Leighton House Bury and John Lilly merchant and Brazilian vice-consul of 17 Minshull Street.
