Marriage Boarder to Williams

Looking for details of marriage of Elizabeth Boarder (nee Redford) born 19.11.1889, died 10 Oct 1848, to John Williams in Montreal. The marriage probably took place between 1939 and 1948

Canada does not have a BMD index - sadly there are no marriage records on line for the time frame you require.  Another option would be to try and find a newspaper reports of the marriage.

The New York Passenger List 13 August 1939 - Hamilton Bermuda to Port Washington New York - for a son William Harry Boarder gave the address of  Elizabeth Boarder 6855 Louis Hemon Montreal

Some copies of Montreal Gazette are online...............Jan 1, 1878 - Nov 20, 2006 so you should find the 1940's on this link

Thank you very much, Sandra, her death in October 1948 was reported in the Montreal Gazette so will plough through and see if I can find anything. Thanks for the info re lack of BMD records.
