Thankyou Ladyhawk, yes the marriage we both found in peterborough 1930, may be the one we are looking for, my guess JESSIE BURTON may have been bapts in Rochester N.York, asking was jessie mum pregnant when the family went over to N.Y.??Thankyou so much.Margaret.

Jessie's mother may have been pregnant on the voyage, bear in mind she had been wed only 10 days when she stepped aboard.

As of the 1910 census, which was supposed to reflect the family as of 15 Apr. 1910, Nellie Burton was reported to have zero children.  As Jessie was 2 years old as of the 1912 voyage, it would seem she was probably born in 1910 some time after the census.

I did try using the exact dob 30 10 1911  as given on Jessie’s 1972 death entry nothing showed freesearch 1939 register for a Jessie H(arriett) Baker using a different search criteria found following
