Hi..    it certainly was an interesting time in Cyprus, I was there in 1955/7 with 2Batt Green Howards stationed in Dhekelia near Larnaca, We did many patrols in Paphos/ Kyrenia and the troodos Mountains chasing after Col Grivas and his Eoka terrorists.....
Great Holiday place to Visit now.

My late father served in Cyprus with the RAOC 1956-59.  My sister and I were both born at the BMH in Nicosia.

You are kidding! My grandfather served- my mother was born in the BMH in Nicosia!

This pic on the QARANC site is described as the childrens ward, Nicosia BMH.  I was too young to remember it! (my sister born Jun 1957, me May 1958)

I showed mum that. She was May 1958 as well! (It's a small world sometimes, isn't it??)
