Problems with Rootsweb

I cannot access this website for a few days now. Is anyone else having problems too?

Glad I checked previous posts as I was wondering if it was my comp having a problem as my internet has been cutting out a lot on large sites (RC included).

Yes Ancestry's actions have blacked out many genealogy sites including many pages on mine and the Rootsweb mailing lists.
They do not even give any timescale for getting them up and running agai.

It's annoying because I tend to use a photo dating site on there as a check to my various books and then link to a particular pic for comparison.

I'll just have to use my books!

Blacked out sites, thousands?
If you take a look at
https://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/index/surname/s/

click on any of the surnames most will fail to load, same with the family trees.
On the bright side the message boards seem to be OK so far.

PS to find other surname lists change the /s/ for any other letter e.g. /a/
