I need help with the following Bethams Extract please.

Its an extract of the Will of Simeon Blakeney of Tuam co Galway. written 21 June 1779, proved 15 July 1780
Wife Marcella and her brother Charles  Blaken (ey) 
John B    ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Father in law Thos Blakeney
son Charles B
- Edward B
daur Isabella
 - Sarah
sister ---- Wadman

Can anyone decipher what is written after John B please.. I am missing a John Blakeney and this is around the right time frame.

could it possibly be poor spelling of Theophilus? without a "B" for Blakeney after it.  :-\

Theophilus was a family name

It could well be Theophilus, but there is a very large loop at the beginning of the 'T' (compare with the 'T' of Tuam at the top of the page).

I wonder if it is meant to be John B & Theophilus  :-\

I thought it might be Theophilus, before I saw any of the replies here - though it doesn't really look like -ilus at the end, so I wonder if it's actually Theoph B? It's hard to be totally sure with the lines of writing squashed up together.

I think the loop at the start of the T is just '+' ('and'). There's an identical one in the line above.

It's a hard one that's for sure!  I shall have to just make a note as a "possible Theophilus".  I didn't have a Theo's for that particular family group but as mentioned earlier, it is a name used by the extended family.
