Searching for Ellsrighill
« on: Friday 29 December 17 20:54 GMT (UK) »
ELLSRIGHILL: Came across this town (?) in a document and searched online for its location without success. Does anyone know where this was located and where I can locate it on a map today? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Apparently it was formerly known as Elgerigill http://www.rootschat.com/links/01l80/, which was also known as Elsrickle http://www.rootschat.com/links/01l81/

Which places it here http://www.rootschat.com/links/01l85/

It's about half-way between Lanark and Peebles http://www.rootschat.com/links/01l84/
