Dear Friends,
would highly appreciate any info on the most famous Lancashire Runner - Siah Albison of Bowlee, Middleton. He was a one-mile champion in the 1860's.
Thanks. Ruslan

If you have access to FindMyPast there are numerous newspaper articles on Siah Albison/Albeson.

Are you looking for info on his family line or details as a runner?

The birth of Siah "Allbeson" was registered  in Manchester June quarter, 1840. Mother's maiden name Bamford.

In 1841 he was with his parents (presumably), Jacob and Mary, with siblings, living in Prestwich. Recorded under the name of Albinson.
