Abbreviations on Royal Naval records
« on: Tuesday 02 January 18 13:11 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to find out what the abbreviations on a WW1 Naval record mean and would be grateful for any help.  I know that HMS Vivid was a shore base at Devonport, but the family story is that this chap was a male nurse.  Can anyone tell me what the following stand for:
FE - under the age column; Junior RA and Senior RA -  under the rating column; RL -  under character and ability; to be ?? SRA - under the remarks column.
Many thanks
sorry cannot attach a copy of the record.  I'm told it is too big, very strange

If the record is on line, you might like to post the name and details, context always helps.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

Junior RA and Senior RA -  under the rating column ... to be ?? SRA - under the remarks column.

Junior Reserve Attendant, Senior Reserve Attendant -- probably a Sick Berth Attendant, hence the nursing suggestion.

If you can't post the whole image (you're allowed up to 500kB), try using the snipping tool to post extracts of the parts you can't read.
ADDED - or if it's an online record, follow Max's advice above :)
