What was his occupation in other years? I would guess at 'something' machinist.  :-\

wrong surname ... try ROBERTS ... wd mach is abbreviation for Wood Machinist.  He is there as such under ROBERTS in 1963  :)

gosh I am having a bad run of it.  You are correct - his name is ROBERTS and NOT ROGERS.  Perhaps a senior's moment ;D

Well majm you are a master researcher so thanks.  I've promised my self to finish a line when every other time I have followed where my research led me :o

Christmas in the UK must have been superb.  I too would love to be that cold.  Must have been wonderful to have had Christmas lunch/dinner without being drenched in perspiration.
